For the past three years, I've been going to Kamikochi during the harsh winter months to take photographs.
The Japanese macaques of Kamikochi in the Northern Alps live in one of the coldest environments in the world. In recent years, their behavior has been discovered that defies conventional wisdom, such as hunting fish and making perilous journeys to Mount Yarigatake. This program explores their pioneering efforts to expand their territory.
